"BOCA BETH" BUTLER (Monday Keynote, Breakouts on Monday & Tuesday)
Beth Butler (www.bocabeth.com) is a bilingual educator of young children and strives to create better communication within our increasingly diverse society. She is the founder of the internationally acclaimed BOCA BETH language learning series which has garnered various parenting awards including the following: 2008 Editors' Choice Award/Family Review Center, Learning Magazine 2007 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Family, Best Educational Product of the Year (2005 & 2006) –Parent to Parent/Adding Wisdom Award.
The BOCA BETH TV Program is now enjoyed on The Education Channel in Tampa, Florida while her products have been listed on the US Department of Education’s OELA (Office of English Language Acquisition) site as a great resource for helping young children learn a second language.
Ms. Butler lived in Chile and Mexico, then spent more than 10 years in preschool and elementary school classrooms, and has written and recorded four bilingual music CDs in Spanish and English, produced two bilingual educational movies and four children's music videos, published a fun coloring/activity book in both languages and speaks nationally with parents and educators – encouraging second language fun.

Gloria DeGaetano (www.GloriaDeGaetano.com) is the founder and CEO of The Parent Coaching Institute (www.thepci.org). The PCI is the originator of parent coaching as a profession and maintains the highest standards for parent coaching professionals, offering a comprehensive, year-long, graduate-level parent coach training program for Parent Coach Certification®.
A nationally acclaimed educator, author, and speaker, Ms. DeGaetano has over 30 years experience working with children, teachers, and parents as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, district administrator, university instructor, and national consultant.
Ms. DeGaetano has written Screen Smarts: A Family Guide to Media Literacy (Houghton Mifflin, 1996); Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill: A Call to Action Against TV, Movie, and Video Game Violence (with Lt. Col. Dave Grossman) (Crown Books, 1999), and manuals for educators and child advocates, including Television and the Lives of Our Children and the Media Smarts Series for Students K-5 (Jalmar Press). Her latest book, Parenting Well in a Media Age, received the 2007 i-Parenting Media Award.
